Fire reported at Texas medical center

The Laredo Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at Laredo (Texas) Medical Center Monday, according to the Laredo Morning Times.

Medical center officials said the fire was isolated in an electrical closet near the cardiac catheterization laboratory, according to the report.

In a statement to LMT, officials said the fire was contained and no injuries were reported. Out of caution, officials moved a "small number of patients … to rooms in other areas of the hospital" during the incident.

The fire department has since given LMC the "all clear" to continue treating patients, according to the report.
