A spokesperson for the hospital told Jackson County, Miss., officials Monday the health system can no longer afford the two surgeons required to continue neurological services at its facilities, according to the report.
The spokesperson informed county representatives patients with head trauma may be flown from Singing River to New Orleans-based Ochsner Medical Center for treatment, according to the report.
