U.S. News and Doximity launch physician appointment booking tool

U.S. News & World Report expanded its relationship with physician networking service Doximity to offer a tool that allows patients to schedule medical appointments while reviewing physician profiles on usnews.com.

Through its relationship with Doximity, U.S. News offers a free online directory of over 900,000 practicing U.S. physicians to help patients choose a medical provider.

The appointment booking tool will be available for physicians and health organizations that subscribe to the service through Doximity and integrated with existing third-party scheduling applications. In addition to booking appointments on the U.S. News website, patients can make appointments directly through a physician's Doximity profile.

Over seven million patients search for physicians on U.S. News and Doximity every month. Through the booking tool, patients will be connected to their physician's preferred booking system. U.S. News and Doximity can integrate with providers who already use an online scheduling system.

"U.S. News Doctor Finder and Doximity physician profiles have become a vital resource for consumers researching and looking for a physician," said Nate Gross, MD, co-founder of Doximity. "The addition of a booking tool helps make the process even more streamlined for patients."
