The expansion project will add 445,000 square feet to the medical campuses.
The expansion includes building a six-story patient care tower, expanding the emergency department and newborn intensive care unit at Methodist Children’s Hospital and building a nine-story parking garage and expanding the adult emergency department at Methodist Hospital.
The expansion is Methodist Healthcare’s largest project to date. Construction is expected to begin in 2014 and last through 2017.
