Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital Opens New $11.5M Surgery Center

Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., has opened its new $11.5 million surgical unit, according to a report by The Star-Ledger.

The new 17,000 square foot facility, called The Center for Advanced Pediatric Surgery, has six operating rooms, 10 bays and five private rooms in a two-stage recovery room.

Additionally, the operating rooms feature monitors that can send X-rays, laboratory and pathology reports and other information a surgeon may need while operating. There are also cameras that can send pictures of the surgery to any school or teaching facility.
