CMS Releases Guidance on 1% Funding Increase for Preventive Care

State Medicaid directors received guidance from CMS on the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage program’s 1 percentage point increase to fund state assistance for certain preventive care.

The FMAP increase took effect Jan. 1 and applies to preventive services assigned a grade of A or B by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and certain adult vaccinations.
