According to the report, some hospitals raised questions regarding the requirement after CMS released a notice approving three agencies for accreditation. CMS states that only physician fee schedule services must be accredited under the requirement.
Imaging services provided under hospital inpatient and outpatient prospective payment schedules do not fall under this requirement, according to the report.
