UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport, Pa., will open an outpatient center at a three-building former retail plaza in McElhattan, Pa., according to The Express.
UPMC Susquehanna purchased the former retail plaza in June. The outpatient center is slated to open in January and will include services previously provided at the Haven Medical Center in Lock Haven (Pa.), according to the report. Services provided at the outpatient center will include lab and imaging.
News of the outpatient center's opening comes in the wake of UPMC Susquehanna's purchase of Lock Haven (Pa.) Hospital from Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health.
Ron Reynolds, UPMC Susquehanna vice president of Clinton County operations and the local hospital's chief administrative officer, told The Express UPMC Susquehanna has added 22 new full-time positions across various departments since the purchase. He added the new positions involve medical units and long-term care.
