HRHCare workers in New York unionize

Workers at Hudson River HealthCare in Long Island, N.Y., voted to join 1199 Service Employees International Union United Healthcare Workers East.

The vote covers more than 100 workers at Brentwood, Amityville and Wyandanch HRHCare community health centers in Long Island, the union said via news release. Workers affected by the vote include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, laboratory technicians, patient representatives and navigators, clinical assistants and outreach workers.

1199SEIU has more than 400,000 members across Maryland/D.C., Florida, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.
