WVU Hospitals, Garrett Regional Medical Center enter management agreement

Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Hospitals entered into a management agreement Garrett Regional Medical Center, a 55-bed facility in Oakland, Md., Dec. 5.

Under the agreement, which will go into effect Jan. 1, 2018, WVU Hospitals will manage and provide additional services at GRMC.

The two institutions have maintained a clinical affiliation since 2015.

In addition to the management agreement, officials announced Mark Boucot, president and CEO of GRMC, will also serve as administrator of Keyser, W.Va.-based Potomac Valley Hospital.

Mr. Boucot will assume the role in January.
