Along with the acquisition of the 25,000-square-foot facility, Quest and Cleveland Clinic also finalized a strategic collaboration in which they plan to collaborate on clinical trials to highlight the economic and clinical value of certain biomarkers.
“Our goal is to accelerate the development of new tools for diagnosing human disease and to make those tools broadly accessible for clinical use,” Brian Donley, MD, chief of staff at the Cleveland Clinic, previously said. “That’s a powerful combination which, over time, will deliver improved healthcare value for many patients.”
The organizations signed a definitive acquisition agreement in October.
