The sale is part of CHS’ plan to divest a second group of hospitals with a combined revenue of $2 billion. The plan was announced earlier this year during a third quarter 2017 earnings call.

Officials expect to close the transaction during the first quarter of 2018, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
