CHS to sell 120-bed Florida hospital to Adventist Health

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems signed a definitive agreement Dec. 4 to sell Bayfront Health Dade City (Fla.) and its associated assets to subsidiaries of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.

The sale is part of CHS' plan to divest a second group of hospitals with a combined revenue of $2 billion. The plan was announced earlier this year during a third quarter 2017 earnings call.

Officials expect to close the transaction during the first quarter of 2018, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
