University of Miami Health, VitalMD partner for women’s care

The University of Miami Health System and VitalMD, a multi-specialty physician group based in Pembroke Pines, Fla., will partner to create a network of physicians focused on women’s health services and cancer care, according to the Miami Herald.

As part of the partnership, patients who see VitalMD physicians will have access to UHealth’s specialty medical services and research, including cancer treatment at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami.

At the start of the partnership, VitalMD physicians will see patients in Sylvester breast cancer clinics in Miami-Dade County, including the Lennar Foundation Medical Center on the health system’s Coral Gables, Fla., campus, as well as in Broward County at Sylvester clinics in Deerfield Beach and Plantation, Fla., according to the report.
