The Connecticut state Department of Public Health’s Office of Health Care Access approved the transaction July 27. The transfer of ownership is expected to go into effect Aug. 1.
Saint Mary’s Health System is the fifth hospital to affiliate with the regional health ministry, according to the report.
Officials said a ceremony to mark the transaction will take place Sept. 8.
