Huron Consulting Group to acquire health IT firm HSM

Chicago-based Huron Consulting officials announced the company’s intent to acquire health IT firm Healthcare Services Management in Quincy, Mass.

The transaction marks Huron’s fourth successful acquisition in the past year. The deal is set to close in August.

The transaction will bring more than 100 HSM employees to the Huron family. HSM’s CEO David Devine will serve as managing director.

HSM specializes in healthcare information technology and management consulting. The acquisition will help Huron to take advantage of the rapidly evolving healthcare technology landscape.
