Texas’ Llano Memorial to Merge With Scott & White

The board of directors overseeing Llano (Texas) Memorial Healthcare System has signed a resolution to sell its assets and debt to Temple, Texas-based Scott & White Healthcare, according to a Llano News report.

Under the agreement, Scott & White will own and operate all of Llano Memorial’s facilities including Llano Memorial Hospital and six clinics. In return, Scott & White has agreed to keep the hospital open for at least 10 years after the merger date.

The deal is expected to be finalized by Sept. 1.
