As part of the agreement, UCHealth plans to build a new health center in Englewood, Colo., which will feature a sports performance program designed to maximize performance and injury prevention for athletes at all levels. The center will include four operating rooms, orthopedic clinic rooms and additional treatment facilities
“Our orthopedic and sports medicine programs are already nationally renowned, and orthopedics is ranked by U.S. News as one of the best programs in the nation,” said Robert D’Ambrosia, MD, chair of the department of orthopedics at University of Colorado School of Medicine. “Partnering with these specialists and expanding into this new location will allow us to care for far more patients from throughout the Rocky Mountain region, train additional sports fellows and extend clinical trials.”
