EvergreenHealth to acquire Seattle clinic

Kirkland, Wash.-based EvergreenHealth declared that Lakeshore Clinic, also in Kirkland, will join the health system's employed medical group.

According to the agreement, EvergreenHealth will acquire Lakeshore Clinic physician group, which consists of 18 primary care physicians and one podiatrist, as well as transition Lakeshore's clinical and office staff to EvergreenHealth. Lakeshore's two facilities will also be renamed EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Lakeshore Totem Lake and EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Lakeshore Bothell.

Officials said they expect the transition to be completed by January 2017. Officials also said all of the physicians and staff at both Lakeshore facilities will be offered full-time positions with EvergreenHealth.

"Lakeshore Clinic has been a trusted health partner to our patients and their families for more than 70 years," said Lakeshore Clinic CEO Linda Jeppesen. "Joining EvergreenHealth affords us the opportunity to continue our history of success providing patients with innovative models of care, while ensuring we have access to resources as part of a larger health system."
