According to the report, President and CEO John Spicer has said the hospital is in “very preliminary stages of negotiations” with Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y.; NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City; North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in New York City; and Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y.

Only North Shore LIJ would comment on the discussions. A representative characterized them as communication rather than active, ongoing discussions, according to the report.

Sound Shore would like to narrow the field of potential partners by the end of the year, according to the report.
