1. Healthcare M&A reached $546 billion in announced deal value, roughly 2.5 times greater than the previous decade’s average annual value.
2. One-third of healthcare M&A overall value came from five deals totaling more than $186 billion. $20 billion.
3. Between 2012 and 2015, healthcare M&A activity grew at a rate of 50 percent year-over-year compared to 24 percent M&A activity in the overall market.
