Here are five things to know about the partnership.
1. The organizations will form a limited liability company to own and operate an undisclosed number of community hospitals “or other healthcare entities.”
2. Under the deal, RCCH HealthCare will operate and manage the facilities, while UW Medicine will provide clinical and quality expertise.
3. The community hospitals will retain their own brands, but will also be known as “A UW Medicine Community Health Partner.”
4. The first community hospital included in the partnership is Capital Medical Center, a 110-bed full service facility in Olympia, Wash.
5. UW Medicine and RCCH HealthCare have maintained an existing relationship for several years.
