Marshfield Clinic Health System to integrate Wisconsin hospital: 3 things to know

Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System finalized the terms of its agreement to integrate Ladysmith, Wis.-based Rusk County Memorial Hospital Feb. 6, according to the Ladysmith News.

Here are three things to know about the transaction.

1. The Rusk County board of supervisors and the Marshfield Clinic Health System board of directors approved a definitive agreement setting the final terms of the integration Tuesday.

2. Rusk County Memorial began considering various health systems for a potential partnership roughly two years ago.

3. “We look forward to continuing the excellent patient care and service provided by our respective organizations in Ladysmith, while beginning a new phase of integrating our operations, looking to new facilities and planning for the future,” said Susan Turney, MD, CEO of Marshfield Clinic Health System.
