The physicians began planning the proposed hospital after they became frustrated with Good Samaritan’s management, and the report cited such complaints as compensating physicians for on-call time, improving surgical services and obtaining capital for building and technology improvements at Good Samaritan.

Details regarding the size of the new hospital and the services that will be offered have not been released, but the physician-investors estimate the cost at around $20 million. According to the report, Good Samaritan has also announced plans for a $65 million expansion and investment in new technology at the hospital.
