Petaluma Valley Hospital gets bidding interest from 3 hospital operators

Petaluma (Calif.) Valley Hospital received interest from three hospital operators to manage the facility, according to The North Bay Business Journal

Los Angeles-based Pipeline Health, El Segundo, Calif.-based Paladin Healthcare and The KPC Group in Riverside, Calif., toured the hospital prior to the Jan. 31 deadline to submit bids to operate the facility. As of Jan. 30, no operator had placed a bid.

Petaluma Valley is a publicly-owned hospital, according to the report. Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health operates the hospital, however its 20-year lease expired Jan. 31. The two organizations chose not to extend the lease agreement.

Ramona Faith, CEO of the Petaluma Health Care District, which owns the hospital, told the Business Journal the hospital will "have some good options. We see a great opportunity here."

The healthcare district board is expected to review bids at its Feb. 9 meeting.
