Ochsner Completes Purchase of Louisiana Hospital, Surgery Center

Ochsner Health System has completed its purchase of Slidell, La.’s NorthShore Regional Medical Center and its ASC, according to a report in New Orleans CityBusiness.

Ochsner announced its plans to acquire NorthShore Regional in January. The 165-bed hospital will be renamed Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore, and patients will not be require to have an Ochsner physician to use the facility, according to the report.

With the purchase of NorthShore Regional, Ochsner now owns eight hospitals in southeast Louisiana.
