Mount Sinai expands into China

Mount Sinai Health System signed an agreement with Taikang Healthcare in Beijing to provide clinical, educational and training programs for Xianlin Drum Tower Hospital in Nanjing, China, the New York City-based health system announced Nov. 15.

Under the agreement, Mount Sinai will provide Xianlin Drum Tower Hospital with guidance related to the hospital’s medical care delivery standards and best practices in hospital management.

“Taikang shares [our] mission and is committed to improving healthcare outcomes for their patients. Taikang is an ideal partner to for us in China, and we are excited to play an important and critical role in expanding innovative healthcare in this region,” Arthur Klein, MD, president of Mount Sinai Health Network, said in a statement.
