Minnesota Hospital to Break Ground on New Medical Office Building

Groundbreaking will soon begin on a new $14 million medical office building on the campus of Allina Hospitals & Clinics’ Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minn., according to a report by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

The 60,000-square-foot building will feature expanded facilities for Multicare Associates’ primary care and specialty clinic and will also hold Allina’s Virginia Piper Cancer Institute at Unity.

The new Cancer Institute will be operated in partnership with physicians from Minnesota Oncology and will expand upon Allina’s Piper Cancer Institute located at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

The building is expected to be completed by the fall of 2010.
