According to the release, as a member of MedStar, SMHC will have greater access to capital for new construction, comprehensive clinical services and technology, academic medicine, innovative research and clinical trials.
Both organizations will work together to secure all necessary regulatory approvals. They anticipate completing the acquisition process by the end of this year, according to the release.
