One condition of the Council’s approval is that Northeast’s Addison Gilbert Hospital maintains its current service levels for a minimum of three years and conducts community health needs assessments going forward.
The Council’s approval was the last that Lahey and Northeast needed before the non-profits join in their partnership. The affiliation is expected to finalize on May 1.
According to the report, the affiliation gives the two organizations the green light to create a $1.5 billion, integrated regional health system. The new corporation is to be governed by a new Lahey Health board with equal representation from Northeast and Lahey.
