Burlington, N.C.-based Labcorp has shared plans to acquire select assets from Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health’s outreach laboratory services under a new strategic agreement.
The transaction, which is expected to close in 2026, is exclusively for Parkview’s nonemergent outreach laboratory services, and labs inside Parkview hospitals will continue to support patients with acute care and emergency needs, according to a Nov. 13 news release shared with Becker’s.
The deal aims to supply convenient lab services for patients and providers by expanding access to Labcorp’s network and testing capabilities.
“This acquisition is expected to provide patients and physicians across Indiana and northwest Ohio with greater access to Labcorp’s comprehensive laboratory services, scientific expertise and expanded testing capabilities to help them make informed care decisions,” Amy Rhine-Pallas, senior vice president of Labcorp’s North Central Division, said in the release.
