The two organizations will work together within Novant Health Shared Services to improve access to quality care, share best practices and make care more affordable, according to a news release. The hospital will work with Novant’s Winston-Salem market team. Under the agreement, each organization will remain independent and retain local ownership, management and governance.
Since this past fall, Novant has been steadily adding hospitals to Novant Health Shared Services, a group that focuses on supply chain management and other operational collaborations. Other recently added members include Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C., Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Healthcare System and Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, Ga.
