HackensackUMC will rehabilitate the campus’ parking lots and planting areas, install additional storm drains and reactivate the helipad.
However, HackensackUMC is still awaiting a response to the certificate of need application it and its partner, Plano, Texas-based LHP Hospital Group, submitted to reopen the former Westwood hospital as a 128-bed acute-care hospital. Once approved, HackensackUMC would also renovate the interior of the facility, bringing the total estimated cost of renovations to nearly $40 million.
