Global Medical REIT to acquire Kansas hospital for $24.5M

Global Medical REIT, a Bethesda, Md.-based company engaged in the acquisition and leasing of healthcare facilities, entered into an agreement Dec. 30 to acquire 33-bed Great Bend (Kan.) Regional Hospital for $24.5 million.

“I am very happy to close out 2016 with strong acquisition momentum following the execution of this agreement to acquire the Great Bend Regional Hospital,” said Global Medical REIT CEO David Young.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017.
