Atlanta’s Piedmont and St. Joseph’s Hospitals End Merger Talks

Atlanta’s one-hospital St. Joseph’s Health System and three-hospital Piedmont Healthcare have ended merger talks to create a joint operating company, according to a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

According to the report, Piedmont and St. Joseph’s could not agree on how to structure an agreement.

The two groups signed a letter of intent to explore an affiliation in April.
