With the merger, the two companies have created one of the largest health service networks in the nation, with a combined 450 programs, across 32 states, caring for more than 8 million patients annually.
Rich D’Amaro, CEO of SCP, expressed excitement about the merger.
“Though we were competitors for many years, we are now eager for this unification,” he said in a prepared statement. “This combination results in an expansion of our resources, a further growth of our service offerings, and the utilization of industry leading best practices,” he added.
Derik K. King, MD, president of ECI Healthcare Partners, shared Mr. D’Amaro’s enthusiasm.
