Cooley Dickinson Hospital Approves Massachusetts General as Merger Partner

The Cooley Dickinson Hospital of Western Massachusetts in Northampton, has announced plans to negotiate an affiliation agreement with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Cooley Dickinson trustees voted on the potential merger Monday evening, deciding between Massachusetts General and Baystate Health in Springfield, Mass.

The decision is a culmination of a three-year process in which Cooley Dickinson had considered seven prospective partners.
