CHS Acquires MetroSouth Medical in Illinois

Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tenn., has announced its acquisition of MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, Ill.

The acquisition process began in December 2011. MetroSouth becomes the ninth CHS-affiliated hospital in Illinois and the third serving communities in the greater Chicago area.
