Under the agreement terms, CHI and Immanuel have ended their 1996 agreement, and Immanuel has resigned as a member of Alegent Creighton Health. Immanuel Medical Center and its affiliates in the Omaha area have not resigned as members of Alegent-Creighton Health. They remain part of Alegent-Creighton Health.

CHI and Immanuel also signed a joint development deal, establishing a strategic collaboration to address housing, healthcare and human services needs of seniors and their families in the Nebraska and Iowa region.
