The now jointly-owned centers will connect patients seen at MedExpress’ urgent care with an Atlantic Health System facility if additional care is needed. Similarly, services available within Atlantic Health System can be sought out at MedExpress locations. The walk-in centers offer services like X-rays, labs and minor surgery.

“We are collaborating with Atlantic Health System hospitals and physicians to better serve the community while increasing value for our patients and honoring patient choice,” said Gary Derk, vice president of MedExpress. “Our partnership with Atlantic Health System will help ensure that patients receive the most appropriate care at the right setting at the right time.”

Amy Perry, senior vice president of integrated care delivery and CEO of Atlantic Health System’s hospital division, said the urgent care centers are a great addition to its continuum of care.

“We are very pleased to partner with MedExpress to provide high-quality care and increased access for all of those who depend on us in the local communities we serve,” said Ms. Perry.
