Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health, the 28-hospital spinoff of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, entered into a definitive agreement to sell a 45-bed hospital in Tennessee, the health system announced July 27.
Under the agreement, Quorum will sell McKenzie Regional Hospital to Memphis-based Baptist Memorial Health Care.
Officials expect to complete the transaction by the end of the third quarter of 2018, subject to regulatory approval.
The sale of McKenzie Regional was among several discussed under a letter of intent during the company's first quarter 2018 earnings call.
