1. Gulf Coast Medical Center, Doctors Memorial Hospital Affiliate
Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Fla., signed a formal clinical affiliation agreement with Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Fla.

2. Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital to Evaluate 3 Affiliation Partners
Three health systems proposed plans to create a strategic affiliation with Yakima (Wash.) Valley Memorial Hospital.

3. State OKs Montefiore Medical Center’s Purchase of Bankrupt Sound Shore System
The New York State Department of Health approved New York City-based Montefiore Medical Center’s certificate of need to purchase Sound Shore Health System.

4. Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Joins Novant’s Service Group
Novant Health in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Healthcare System signed a letter of intent to work together within Novant Health Shared Services.

5. CHE Trinity Health, St. Joseph’s Hospital Call Off Affiliation
Livonia, Mich.-based CHE Trinity Health and St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, N.Y., decided to not move forward with their proposed affiliation.

6. Novant Expands Services Partnership to Liberty Regional Medical Center
Novant Health, based in Winston-Salem, N.C., added Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, Ga., to Novant Health Shared Services.
