SSM Health, a nonprofit system based in St. Louis, has signed letters of intent to sell hospitals in Jefferson City, Maryville and Mexico, Mo.
2. St. John’s to explore joining Montefiore Health System
Bronx, N.Y.-based Montefiore Health System and its clinical affiliate St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, N.Y., are in talks for St. John’s to formally join Montefiore.
3. HCA’s partnership talks with Louisiana hospital collapse
Metairie, La.-based East Jefferson General Hospital and New Orleans-based University Healthcare System, a partnership between Tulane University in New Orleans and Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, ended partnership negotiations.
4. Shuttered Texas hospital strikes lease deal
University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston has entered into a letter of intent to lease Bay Area Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas, which closed in May.
