Officials said the agreement, signed last month, was the result of nearly 11 years of deliberation.

Under the agreement, OMH would be fully integrated into Munson Healthcare. Officials notified employees of the decision Tuesday. The organizations previously engaged in a “collaborative affiliation,” but began considering a full integration three years ago, according to the report.

Officials said it may take roughly six months to one year to reach a final agreement, according to the report.
