UNC Health expands hospital president’s role

Jeff Strickler, DHA, RN, has been appointed president of UNC Health Rockingham in Eden, N.C., effective Dec. 18.

Mr. Strickler will continue serving as president of UNC Health Chatham in Siler City, N.C., a role he has held since 2019, according to a Dec. 2 hospital news release. He will also remain COO of UNC Hospitals’ Hillsborough (N.C.) Campus until a successor is named.

He joined UNC Hospitals in 2003 and has held several leadership roles over his 22-year tenure. As president of UNC Health Chatham, he led efforts to improve patient experience. He also oversaw the Hillsborough Campus from its opening through multiple expansions.

Mr. Strickler succeeds Steve Eblin, who is retiring after leading UNC Health Rockingham since 2019. The hospital is part of Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health.
