Here are five things to know about the newly formed organization.
1. IHA represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 50 health systems.
2. Officials said the organization’s vision for Illinois healthcare is “to support each person’s quest for optimum health, all individuals and communities have access to high-quality healthcare at the right time and in the right setting.”
3. IHA has a new website URL (www.team-iha.org).
4. IHA’s 2016 board officers are:
- Chairman: Michael Eesley, CEO of Centegra Health System in Crystal Lake
- Chairman-elect: Edgar Curtis, president and CEO of Memorial Health System in Springfield
- Immediate past chairman: Dean Harrison, president and CEO, of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare in Chicago
- Treasurer: William Santulli, executive vice president and COO of Advocate Health Care in Downers Grove
- President: A.J. Wilhelmi, president and CEO of Illinois Health and Hospital Association
- Secretary: Mark Deaton, general counsel for Illinois Health and Hospital Association (officer only).
5. Trustees elected to serve on the 2016 IHA board are:
