The hospital, part of Colorado’s HealthONE system, has nearly tripled in size since opening, growing from 106 beds to almost 300 today. Ms. Hicks was integral in the development of several programs at Sky Ridge, including the neurosurgery, orthopedics, cardiology and stroke programs.
“I have worked with Susan for many years and am impressed by her vision, commitment to clinical excellence and relationship building skills,” Don Crino, president of the Sky Ridge Medical Staff, said in a statement.
Before coming to Sky Ridge, Ms. Hines served six years as CNO and vice president of patient care services for Denver-based Rose Medical Center, another HealthONE hospital. She also served Rose Medical Center in a variety of other leadership roles, including director of surgical services.
Ms. Hicks has more than 30 years of nursing experience.
