Ms. Ralston will replace Jane Rozanski, who retired after 22 years of work with the district.
Ms. Ralston joined the Camarillo staff 17 years ago and has served as COO for the past six years. Prior to joining Camarillo, she worked for the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association.
“We are delighted with her accepting the position,” said Rod Brown, president of the district board of directors. “Kara is a proven executive. She has been the chief operating officer for many years and has a proven track record in that assignment.”
Ms. Ralston is eager to improve Camarillo Health Care District through her new role.
“We will continue welcoming feedback and suggestions as we work to accomplish one of the elements of our vision statement, which is to exceed the community’s expectations,” Ralston said. “We’re not necessarily okay with good. We want to be better.”
