The grant money, from HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration, will help rural health networks adopt electronic health records and qualify for EHR incentive payments. Each organization will receive approximately $300,000 to purchase equipment, install broadband networks and train staff.

This program was developed by HHS’ Rural HIT Taskforce and is part of President Obama’s Rural Health Initiative.
