San Juan Regional Unveils Neuro-Spine Surgery Center

Farmington, N.M.-based San Juan Regional Medical Center has opened its new neuro-spine center, according to a report from the Daily Times.

The center features a new patient education program that is designed to reduce complications and readmissions from spine and back surgery and features a staff of physicians, nurses and rehabilitation therapists

The four-week program tests patients for pre-existing conditions that might cause possible complications and holds classes for patients about how to prepare for their surgery and recovery so that they are prepared for their post-discharge care, according to the report.
