Regional Medical Center in South Carolina Opens $8M Cancer Center Expansion

Orangeburg, S.C.-based Regional Medical Center has opened the $8 million expansion of its H. Filmore Mabry Center for Cancer Care, according to a report from The Times and Democrat.

The 9,696-square-foot expansion contains space for medical oncology, patient and family support areas, additional radiation equipment, four additional exam rooms and 15 additional chemotherapy rooms.

The Mabry Center was originally built to treat 400 patients per year. Demand at the center has since more than doubled, and the expansion will provide the necessary facilities to offer quality care to the more than 1,000 patients who received care at the center last year.
